Just wanted to announce that my etsy shop is up and running!
I only have a few soaps up there, but more will be up soon!
Check it out!

I should have taken that cake decorating class.
Tonight I made a few cupcake soaps, just the test the waters and...
I need to work on my piping.
But they still turned out great and I think I want to pipe more!
First I made my normal recipe of CP soap, and did a small in the pot swirl. It actually turned out nothing too fancy, but it made it a little interesting.
Then I poured them into some wilton heart cupcake molds, which are fab!
It took a long bit to hit trace because of the high olive oil content. Plus I used a scent that doesn't accelerate trace at all (brambleberry's cranberry fig, delish!)
After that, we wait...until super thick trace. This ended up taking close to 30 minutes to achieve. I should keep this recipe in mind when doing a nice swirled soap in the future.
Once the 30 or so minutes flew by it was thick enough to put in a disposable piping bag. I used a plastic star tip, but I think I will experiment what kind of tips I will use in the future.

Messy! Then, I started to pipe. When piping regular cupcakes you're told to put a little star in the middle, to make sure the frosting on top doesn't collapse and look icky, so I did that first.
Then, I piped in a circled around the star then on top of it, and finished it off with another star on top.
(Note: I started running out of soap so I ended up just putting some stars on two of them, still equally cute!)
Then, to the fridge to prevent gel!
This batch, as normal, didn't come without it boo-boos (sadly).
I tried to fix it with the smallest amount of soap left in the piping bag, but to no avail. Oh well, my mom might enjoy the oops.(ssshhhhh)
I really enjoyed this process with my first time at making soap cupcakes. Maybe next time I will make them more colorful (unicorn poop soap cupcakes? :D)Expect more piping in the future because I just love the way it looks. As well as colors, I think I will measure out how much soap I need to frost precisely next time.
Thoughts? Critiques?
